SECONDARY DRAMA & DANCE TEACHING JOB – EAST LONDON

This Secondary school based in East London is looking for a specialist Drama & Dance teacher to fill a permanent Drama & Dance teaching job from September 2010.

The school is a rapidly improving and ambitious. It has a varied multicultural intake and has specialist status in the performing arts. Examination results have improved markedly and are well above national averages. Teaching staff enjoy full support from the Senior Leadership Team, working in a school with a supportive team atmosphere.

You will need to combine your professional experience and skills to teach a varied and stimulating Drama & Dance curriculum, and be able to teach Dance to GCSE and Drama to A-level.

Responsible for ensuring the effective teaching and learning of these pupils, you will need to be confident in planning and preparing the Drama & Dance curriculum and assessing pupils’ work as well as able to work as part of the teaching team in the Drama & Dance department.

To be considered for this permanent Drama & Dance Teaching job in East London, you must:

• Have recent experience of teaching Dance to GCSE and Drama to A-level (and be able to provide references)
• Have Qualified teacher Status
• Have strong classroom management skills
