This Secondary school based in East London is looking for a specialist science teacher to fill a temporary science teaching job from September 2010.
The school is a rapidly improving and ambitious. It has a varied multicultural intake and has specialist status in the performing arts. Examination results have improved markedly and are well above national averages. Teaching staff enjoy full support from the Senior Leadership Team, working in a school with a supportive team atmosphere.
You will need to combine your professional experience and skills to teach a varied and stimulating Science curriculum, and be able to teach Chemistry or Physics to A-level. You will also have experience of Single Science at Key Stage 4.
Responsible for ensuring the effective teaching and learning of these pupils, you will need to be confident in planning and preparing the Science curriculum and assessing pupils' work as well as able to work as part of the teaching team in the Science department.
To be considered for this temporary Science Teaching job and various other Science roles in East London, you must:
Have recent experience of teaching Science at Key Stage 3 & 4 and either Chemistry or Physics to A-level (and be able to provide references)
Have Qualified teacher Status or be a Newly Qualified Teacher
